Zirconia crowns and bridges

Durable, biocompatible and highly esthetic. Our zirconia crowns are precision-milled for an accurate fit and long-term performance in high-stress areas.

Single zirconia molar crown on a neutral background

Zirconia is our most requested material for posterior crowns and multi-unit bridges. It offers exceptional strength with natural translucency, which makes it a dependable choice when you need a restoration that will hold up under load and still look right in the mouth.

When zirconia is a good fit

  • Posterior crowns where strength and longevity come first
  • Bridges, including longer spans where a strong framework matters
  • Patients with heavy occlusion or a history of fractured restorations
  • Cases with limited occlusal clearance, where a thinner strong restoration helps
  • Implant-supported crowns (see our implant restorations)

How we fabricate it

Every zirconia case is designed digitally and precision-milled, then sintered, characterized and finished by hand. Milling gives a consistent, accurate fit. The hand finishing is where shade, surface texture and contacts are refined so the crown seats with minimal adjustment chairside.

Tell us about your preference for monolithic or layered zirconia, contact strength and occlusion on the Rx. If a case calls for a different material, we will say so before we start.

What to send

A digital scan or conventional impression, an opposing model and a bite record, a stump shade and a target shade, and any photos that help with characterization. See how to send a case for scan and Rx details.
