A night guard only works if the patient wears it. That comes down to fit and comfort as much as material. We fabricate custom guards to your prescription so they seat easily, stay retained and protect the restorations and natural teeth you have worked hard on.
When to prescribe a guard
- Patients with bruxism, clenching or visible wear
- Protecting new crowns, veneers or implant restorations after delivery
- Patients with a history of fractured teeth or restorations
- Replacing a worn or poorly fitting guard
What to tell us on the Rx
Upper or lower arch, your material preference, the thickness or design you want, and any occlusal scheme notes. If you are not sure which design suits the patient, call us and we will talk it through.
What to send
A full-arch scan or impression of both arches and a bite record. Digital scans work well for guards, and we accept scans from any intraoral system. See how to send a case for the details.
